Ebel has forged itself a reputation of luxury, elegance but the brand has always valued innovative high-end design as the signature of its exclusive watch making. Ebel has seen itself as the architect of the Swiss watch manufacturing industry and has kept highlighting it throughout its history both with its famous slogan: Ebel, the Architects of Time, and with its longlasting links with the world ofarchitecture and design. Indeed Ebel has long sponsored the work of famous architects such as Le Corbusier (who was born in La Chaux-de-Fonds), Andree Putman or - in the early nineties - contemporary Swiss painters, such as Jean Arcelin.
In 1986, the world famous Villa Turque, an early masterpiece of Le Corbusier has been acquired by the group for its 75th anniversary to served both as a reminder of its core value and as an inhexaustible source of inspiration for the brand
